Itinerary
Day 1
Local departure by coach, then on to rural Cumbria and our hotel for four festive nights.
Day 2 Christmas Eve In Keswick & Grasmere
Location: Christmas Eve in Keswick & Grasmere
Today we visit the picturesque market town of Keswick. Overlooked by the dramatic Skiddaw range in the north and the expansive Derwentwater in the south the town enjoys an idyllic location in the north of the Lake District.
We then visit pretty Grasmere before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Christmas Day At Leisure
Location: Christmas Day at leisure
Merry Christmas! Enjoy breakfast and then perhaps open some presents or take a stroll in the hotel surroundings before enjoying a glass of kir royal before a traditional Christmas Day lunch. There'll be the chance to watch the King's Speech.
Day 4 Boxing Day In Ambelside And Bowness-On-Windermere
Location: Boxing Day in Ambelside and Bowness-on-Windermere
After breakfast this morning we will visit pretty Bowness-on-Ambleside on the shores of Lake Windermere and also call at bustling Ambleside at the head of the lake.
Day 5
We depart the hotel this morning, filled with magical Christmas memories, and return home.
