Tour Overview
Your Guided Small Group Holiday to Naples
Let’s explore the best of Naples, a vibrant city in southern Italy which has so much to offer. Enjoy some culinary delights whilst we uncover some of the city’s top landmarks and neighbourhoods on a food tour of Naples, the birthplace of Pizza. We’ll take a day trip to Procida, a small island in the Bay of Naples, which boasts colourful buildings on the port of Marina Grande and the historic centre of Terra Murata. Then to round off this wonderful excursion, we’ll enjoy tasting some limoncello, a traditional Italian liqueur made from lemons. Step back in time to Herculaneum, another town which was buried and well preserved by the volcanic ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Although lesser known than Pompeii, this is an impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site that will provide real insight into life during ancient Roman times. There will also be free time to discover more of the city, with tips from our local guide to suit your interests; we heartily recommend you try Neapolitan pizza! This small group tour to Naples is perfect for those seeking history, Italian culture and an exciting food scene.
