Wander through its narrow, cobblestone streets and visit the Cagliari Cathedral an impressive 13th-century structure with a beautiful, decorated interior. Don’t miss the Bastione di Saint Remy, offering a panoramic view of the city and the sea. We also suggest visiting the Roman Amphitheater, one of the most significant archeological sites in Cagliari. The piazza is surrounded by elegant buildings and cafes, perfect for a morning coffee. Not far from the piazza, visit the Oristano Cathedral, an impressive structure with a blend of Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical elements. Explore the interiors featuring beautiful frescoes and a striking wooden ceiling. Next head to the Tower of Mariano II. Visit the Alghero Cathedral, this beautiful 16th century church features a mix of gothic, renaissance and baroque styles. Stroll along the docks and admire the impressive yachts moored here. Next head to Piazzetta di Porto Cervo, the main square and social hub of the town. Start your day early and drive to the nearby town of Palau (about 30 minutes drive). Palau is the gateway to the La Maddalena Archipelago and this is where you’ll catch the ferry (not included). Ferries run frequently, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Enjoy the scenic ride and the beautiful views of the coastline and the sparkling sea. Upon arrival, start exploring La Maddalena town and its charming streets. Visit the Piazza Umberto I, the main square where you can enjoy a coffee and soak up the local atmosphere. If you’re interested in history, stop by the Museum Archeologico Navale. The museum offers insight into the maritime history of the archipelago, including artefacts from shipwrecks and displays of local naval history.
